Case Odyssey - Case Study Contest

About:

The TransOrg Analytics Case Study Contest at IMT is a testament to their dedication to nurturing the next generation of data science and machine learning leaders. Participants in this contest will have the opportunity to take on challenging real-world problems, much like the ones TransOrg routinely tackles for its clients. Through this experience, participants will not only sharpen their analytical skills but also learn to think critically and creatively in the world of data-driven decision-making.

Participants aim to make a dashboard or machine learning model using any software, like Python, PowerBI, or any other software of their choice, for a given problem statement and data set to present their solution in front of judges, showcasing various skills like data visualization, analytical skills, communication skills, and creativity skills.

Event Format:

The contest has 3 rounds:

  • Round 1: Qualifier Round
  • Round 2: Case Quest
  • Round 3: Final Presentation Round

Rules:

One Submission per Team:

  • The contest will allow only one account per participant.
  • Submissions from multiple accounts will lead to disqualification.

No Private Sharing:

  • Privately sharing code or data outside of teams is not permitted.
  • It's okay to share code if it is made available to all participants on the forums.

Disqualification:

  • If any of the details entered are found incorrect, TransOrg Analytics reserves the right to disqualify any participant.
  • Any plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

Eligibility:

  • The competition is open to full-time students from all colleges in India
  • There is no upper limit to the number of teams from a campus
  • All the team members are required to upload their college ID card and confirm their details to form a team
  • Any changes to the team constitution will not be allowed post-registration
  • The participants must carefully read through and agree to the following terms & conditions before registering
  • All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with the organizing committee ITAC, Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad
  • The organizing committee holds the discretion to change the format and structure of the event at any point in time

Team Formation Guidelines:

  • There should be 3- 4 members in each team
  • Participants can only register using their university E-mail IDs
  • Each team must choose a name for their team
  • Cross-campus teams are not allowed
  • Cross-year teams are not allowed
  • Cross-specialization teams are allowed
